91̽»¨drama program makes College Magazine’s Top 10 list
Theater majors, listen up: College Magazine just named the 91̽»¨ in its Top 10 Major Universities for Drama Kids. The article, out this month, praisesÌýthe dramaÌýprogram’s extensive curriculum in directing, acting, and design –Ìýas well asÌýitsÌýintegration with courses in theater criticism, history, play analysis, and special industry topics. Not only that, but many alumni (including Seattle nativeÌý)Ìýhave come backÌýto share their experiences with students.

Holiday social brings show of support for the neighborhood
Ìýboard members and guests attended a neighborhood holiday gatheringÌýon December 16th. hosted the event, whereÌýthe festivities included showing some heartfelt support for the new Business Improvement Association (BIA).

91̽»¨architecture students to design, build waterfront pavilion at Pier 58
The 91̽»¨Department of Architecture was asked to design and build a new facility to serve as a community gathering space on the waterfront atÌýPier 58. The project is set to open in summer of 2015, and will include a performance stage. Read more about itÌý.
U District celebrated community with Alley Lights
Several hundred people came out forÌýthe Alley Lights event that took place on December 6th.ÌýVisitors strolled through theÌýalleyÌýbetween NE 45th & NE 41st to seeÌýglowing art installations and special exhibits, and enjoyed live music and holiday treats along the way.
Sponsored by the U District Partnership and the City of Seattle Office of Economic Development, the event was an opportunity to celebrate the people who make the U District a great place to live and work, including quiteÌýa few neighborhood localsÌýwho wanted to show theirÌýappreciation for the U District.
