A 91探花 Health Sciences team led by the School of Dentistry is launching an interprofessional training program to improve access to dental care for children ranging in age from the first year of life through 5 years.聽Early Childhood Oral Health Training, or EchoTrain, will provide pediatric dental training directly to 91探花dental students, Shoreline Community College dental hygiene students, and students and trainees of the 91探花School of Medicine. After an extensive transformation from stem to stern on five decks of the ship,聽the聽聽is ready to get back to work exploring the world鈥檚 oceans. The 91探花鈥檚 School of Oceanography, part of the College of the Environment, operates the 274-foot ship, which arrived on campus in 1991. In summer 2016, with funding from the U.S. Office of Naval Research, the National Science Foundation and the UW, the vessel headed to a Seattle shipyard for an 18-month midlife refit that will extend its life for another quarter century.
