Northwest Chapter Emmy Award to UWTV, CSNE executive director

Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honored UWTV and Eric聽Eric Chudler, executive and education director of聽UW鈥檚 Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering, with an Emmy庐 Award on Saturday. The award recognized the program 鈥淏rainWorks: Exercise and the Brain鈥 in the Health/Science Program/Special category.聽The program聽was produced by 91探花Video Producer Cara Podenski and Chudler, who is also an associate professor of bioengineering at the UW.

New from UW|360: Edmonds Community College Veterans Resource Center

The 91探花 takes great pride in supporting our military veterans through its many veteran programs and initiatives on campus. Meet Chris Szarek, a Navy veteran and 91探花alum earning great acclaim for his work with student veterans. Szarek is the founding director of the Veterans Resource Center at Edmonds Community College. President Cauce hosts The Lincoln Project Symposium

President Cauce recently hosted The Lincoln Project Symposium on the 91探花 campus. An initiative of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, , named after President Lincoln who signed the Morrill Act laying the groundwork for our public university system during very difficult times in our country, seeks to increase understanding of the impact of public research universities so as to build support for greater public and private investment.聽Read more from President Cauce’s .

New season of UW|360

The first episode of the newest season of UW|360 is available to watch on . It will also air on KOMO 4 the weekend of May 13. In this episode, UW|360 looks at how a 91探花grad student is using music to draw attention of pollution and how some local dogs are helping student manage the stress of finals week. There is also a story on 91探花Baseball Head Coach Lindsay Meggs, and how the love of the game was passed down to his sons who are now giving back to their dad, every day on the Husky diamond.
