Please join the 91探花School of Medicine-Gonzaga University Health Partnership for a Next Generation Medicine webinar featuring聽Deborah H. Fuller, PhD, Professor of Microbiology at the 91探花.
The development of a vaccine to fight against SARS-CoV-2 is exciting news, but few of us understand what this means, beyond understanding it鈥檚 a possible barrier against COVID-19. How are vaccines developed and how do they work? Will all of the COVID vaccines be the same? How will we know if the vaccine is safe and effective? How often will we need to be vaccinated? Will there be enough vaccine for everyone? Dr. Deborah Fuller, vaccinologist and professor of microbiology at the 91探花 will discuss the answers to these questions and more. Dr. Fuller鈥檚 lab has been the site of development of a vaccine candidate since January 2020.
Following Dr. Fuller’s presentation there will be a panel discussion with聽Dr. Fuller,听Dr. Daniel Getz, chief medical officer Providence Sacred Heart, and聽Dr. Gretchen LaSalle, a family physician with MultiCare in Spokane, and the author of, “Let’s Talk Vaccines: A Clinician’s Guide to Addressing Vaccine Hesitancy and Saving Lives. The discussion will be specific to Spokane and eastern Washington, however, all are invited to stay on for this portion of the webinar.
