Using a mathematical framework with roots in artificial intelligence and robotics, 91探花researchers were able to uncover the process of how a person makes choices in groups. And, they also found they were able to predict a person鈥檚 choice more often than more traditional descriptive methods.

For the first time in humans, 91探花Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering (CSNE) researchers have used direct stimulation of the human brain surface to provide basic sensory feedback through artificial electrical signals, enabling patients to control movement while opening and closing their hand.

The 91探花 is receiving a $31.2 million gift from Washington Research Foundation to boost entrepreneurship and support research that tackles some of society’s most crucial challenges. The award will fund four interdisciplinary initiatives that seek to advance global innovation in clean energy, protein design, big data science and neuroengineering.
