Bailadores de Bronce Hosts 40th Gala

Bailadores de Bronce, a Mexican folkloric dance group established at the 91探花, will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a gala performance at Meany Hall on Sat., April 21, at 7:30 p.m.

The gala will showcase live music and dance performances that represent the Pre-Hispanic and Aztec era, the European and Colonial era, as well as the customs and traditions of Native and Mestizo communities from various regions of Mexico. Approximately 40 dancers will participate, including veterans returning for this special event.

Event sponsors include Sea Mar Health Centers, Molina Healthcare, the Seattle Seahawks/Sounders FC, Seattle Mariners, 91探花Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity Ethnic Cultural Center, KCTS-TV, ESPN Deportes and Torero鈥檚 Mexican Restaurants.

Bailadores de Bronce was formed by a group of 91探花students involved in M.E.Ch.A (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlan) to promote their cultural heritage and traditions. The dance group continues to include 91探花students and performs for a wide range of audiences in the Pacific Northwest, including schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, sporting and other community events.
