Undergraduates to Present Research at 22nd Annual Pacific Northwest McNair/EIP/GO-MAP Research Conference May 15-17

McNair ConferenceThirty-eight McNair scholars from the 91探花 and seven other universities will converge on campus to participate in the, May 15-17.

Student research in social science, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and humanities will be showcased through oral and poster presentations on Fri., May 16, from 11 a.m 鈥 6 p.m. in Mary Gates Hall. For the fourth consecutive year, the conference will be held in conjunction with the UW鈥檚 annual .

Other conference festivities include a Graduate Recruitment Fair and welcome dinner on Thursday, along with faculty and alumni panels on Saturday. Full schedule details are available .

Twenty-two 91探花students affiliated with the , Presidential Scholars Program, and (IMSD) will participate in the conference.

They will be joined by McNair scholars from Bemidji State University, Florida International University, Kent State University, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, University of New Hampshire, University of Northern Colorado and Portland State University.

The is a federally funded TRiO program that offers graduate preparation services to low-income, first generation and underrepresented students. The conference is also co-sponsored by the (EIP) for Graduate Studies and the Graduate School鈥檚 (GO鈥揗AP). Additional sponsors include IMSD, , and Sigma Xi.
