Former IC Student, Celebration Scholar Anisa Ibrahim Featured by CNN

Anisa Ibrahim, M.D., who utilized OMA&D programs and received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the UW, was recently featured by CNN. The article linked below highlights her inspirational journey to become the director of Harborview Medical Center鈥檚 Pediatrics Clinic in Seattle.

Ibrahim utilized OMA&D鈥檚 Instructional Center during her time as an undergraduate and was honored as a Celebration Recognition Scholar in 2008, receiving OMA&D鈥檚 Lee and Virginia Huntsman Scholarship. Each year, OMA&D awards scholarships to students who make great contributions on campus and in the community, while achieving academic excellence.

Ibrahim received a B.S. in biology and physiology in 2009, and remained at the 91探花to complete her medical degree from the School of Medicine in 2013. She completed both her internship (2014) and residency (2016) in the 91探花Department of Pediatrics, and is currently also a 91探花Clinic Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.
