New 91探花training program to improve access to dental care for children

Child brushing teethThe 91探花 is launching an interprofessional training program to improve access to dental care for children ranging in age from one to five. This new program, which is led by the 91探花School of Dentistry, is funded by a $1.5 million, five-year grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration.

Early Childhood Oral Health Training, or EchoTrain, will provide pediatric dental training directly to 91探花dental students, Shoreline Community College dental hygiene students, and students and trainees of the 91探花School of Medicine. Collaborative learning is also planned with faculty, students and trainees from the UW鈥檚 Schools of Public Health and Pharmacy.
