{"id":9056,"date":"2017-02-18T14:14:03","date_gmt":"2017-02-18T22:14:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/?page_id=9056"},"modified":"2025-11-19T13:53:37","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T21:53:37","slug":"web-based-citi-training","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/hsd\/training\/required-training\/web-based-citi-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Web Based CITI Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The  91探花has partnered with the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) to provide free online training for those who are affiliated with  91探花or collaborating with someone who is affiliated with  91探花in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Human Subjects Protections<\/li>\n<li>Good Clinical Practice<\/li>\n<li>Responsible Conduct of Research<\/li>\n<li>Community-Engaged and Community-Based Participatory Research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Refresher options are available for Human Subjects Protections training and Good Clinical Practice training.<\/p>\n<h2>Users with  91探花NetIDs<\/h2>\n<p> 91探花now uses Single Sign On (SSO) with the CITI Program. Login using your  91探花NetID and password.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"uw-btn btn-default btn-large\" href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/www.citiprogram.org\/Shibboleth.sso\/Login?target=https*3A*2F*2Fwww.citiprogram.org*2FSecure*2FWelcome.cfm*3finst*3d430&amp;entityID=urn:mace:incommon:washington.edu__;JSUlJSUlJQ!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!kGVQRPpfuoGb5fdyGSl7HanVosIhuujViQPjxspd4EgrsZ2USSAdPStfD7Uzt__9f8uverxnYUL3-BHC3w$\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SSO CITI Login<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are logging into  91探花CITI for the first time<\/strong>, your CITI account will be automatically created based on your  91探花NetID credentials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you previously created a CITI account,<\/strong> your old CITI account has been automatically merged with your SSO login if possible. This means that when you login using your  91探花NetID and password, you should see your account information from your original CITI registration, including any previously completed courses. If you do not see your previously completed courses, you can still access them by logging in on the <a href=\"https:\/\/about.citiprogram.org\/\">CITI website<\/a> using your CITI username and password. To merge 2 existing accounts, email <a href=\"mailto:support@citiprogram.org\">support@citiprogram.org<\/a> for assistance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To register for a course:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From the Main Menu, select &#8220;View Courses&#8221; by 91探花<\/li>\n<li>Scroll to the bottom of the page and select &#8220;Add a Course&#8221; under Learner Tools<\/li>\n<li>Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose the top box, &#8220; 91探花requires me to complete a CITI course&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Select:\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Research with human subjects&#8221; for basic human subjects protections training<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Research with human subjects (Refresher)&#8221; if you have previously taken the basic human subjects protections course and need to take refresher training<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Good Clinical Practice&#8221; for GCP training tailored to drug and device trials<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;GCP &#8211; Social and Behavioral Research Best Practices for Clinical Research&#8221; for GCP training tailored to behavioral trials<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training for any researcher supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF)&#8221;, for RCR training<\/li>\n<li>\u201cCommunity-Engaged and Community-Based Participatory Research\u201d for training in Community-Engaged and Community-Based Participatory Research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The course(s) you need should be added to your account.
