Former Washington Gov. Booth Gardner, '58, shows his might to Arnold Schwarzenegger during the actor-bodybuilder's visit to the 91探花campus July 21, 1990. Schwarzenegger was in town for the opening of the 1990 Goodwill Games. The two met at the IMA and went through an abbreviated workout to promote fitness before a crowd of reporters and students. Little did anyone know Schwarzenegger would flex his political might 13 years later when he was elected governor of California. Photo by Davis Feeman.
