The 91探花 and Seattle Children鈥檚 Hospital are partnering with Security Properties to develop , a project to聽create a new pool of high-quality housing in the U District. The new community will offer聽priority access for 91探花and Children鈥檚 employees, and聽will include larger units and amenities designed聽for those with families.
When the University acquired several surface parking lots as part of the Safeco Tower purchase, it created聽an opportunity for the two institutions to partner on the聽new housing project. Security Properties/Madrona Ridge was chosen to build and operate it.
The 91探花and Seattle Children’s聽have a shared interest in creating high-quality and affordable housing for their employees, and in聽contributing to a vital urban neighborhood.聽The Bridges@11th聽community will include 184 total units with a mix of studios, one bedrooms, two bedrooms and three bedrooms. The project also involves a collaboration with the City of Seattle through the Multifamily Property Tax Exemption Program,聽which allows聽20% of the apartment homes to be set aside for those who qualify under the MFTE guidelines.
