A tribute in honor of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held Thursday, Jan. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Health Sciences Lobby at the 91探花 Health Sciences Center (1959 NE Pacific St.). The event will feature Seattle School District Superintendent John Stanford. 91探花President Richard L. McCormick is also scheduled to participate. The program will include performances by the Meany Middle School Jazz Ensemble and the Nikos Acappella Group, a Samoan quartet. The program, titled “Children — Our Hope for the Future,” is open to the public and is sponsored by the 91探花Health Sciences administration and 91探花Medical Center. For more information, call 543-3620.
