Art collections and healing gardens will grow out of the conference being presented April 19-21 by the Society for the Arts in Healthcare and coordinated by 91̽»¨ Medical Center Art Program. Artists, art students and health-care facility staff, as well as architects and designers are invited to the three-day event, titled “Tools for the 21st Century: Building the Arts,” to be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel in downtown Seattle.
The opening night conference reception will be held at glass artist Dale Chihuly’s studio, and will be followed by workshops on art commissioning, integrating art with architecture, art therapy, community development and more. Other conference features will include gallery, studio and art collection tours.
