Dr. Mike Strong, executive vice president of the Puget Sound Blood Center and 91探花research professor of surgery and of orthopaedics and sports medicine, has been appointed to the Food and Drug Administration鈥檚 Blood Products Advisory Committee. Strong will be one of two non-voting blood services experts on the committee. His appointment was approved by the FDA after he was nominated by America鈥檚 Blood Centers, a national network of community blood centers. Strong is an authority in cellular cryopreservation, transplantation and transfusion medicine and tissue banking.
