The Allen L. Edwards Psychology Lecture series will begin Feb. 21 with Symbolic Understanding in Infants and Young Children: Challenges and Benefits, by Stephanie Carlson, UW; and Judy DeLoache, University of Virginia.
The lectures bring prominent, nationally distinguished psychologists to the University to co-present with faculty from the 91̽»¨Department of Psychology. This year the series features experts in the fields of visual cognition, child development, suicide and ethics. The free public series is made possible by a bequest from the late Professor Allen L. Edwards.

February 28: Suicidal Individuals: Evaluation, Therapies, and Ethics, by Marsha Linehan, UW; and Barbara Stanley, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
March 7: Vision and the Brain: Unseen Complexities, by Scott O. Murray, UW; and Melvyn A. Goodale, University of Western Ontario.
