The Combined Fund Drive (CFD), Washington State’s workplace giving campaign, will be extended until Dec. 12, providing another week for the 91̽»¨campus community to consider donating to the more than 2,600 charities supported by the campaign.

So far, the 2008 campaign has raised $1,765,408 in donations from about 15 percent of the 91̽»¨community, according to Kerri Everly, development services officer for the 91̽»¨campaign.

The fund drive has raised more money so far this year than at this same time last year. The week’s extension provides additional opportunity for the campaign to reach its $2 million goal.

“In these times of financial difficulty, charities need our help even more,” Everly said. “I’m deeply impressed by the generosity of the 91̽»¨community and its willingness to address these needs.”
