The 91̽»¨Wind Ensemble and symphonic, concert, and campus Bands will present Spotlight!, a concert featuring winners of the 91̽»¨Bands concerto competition, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, in Meany Theater.
The 91̽»¨Wind Ensemble is conducted by Timothy Salzman; the 91̽»¨Symphonic Band is conducted by Brad McDavid and the 91̽»¨combined campus and concert Bands wil be conducted by Vu Nguyen, Danny Helseth and Kirsten Cummings.
Program selections will include Concerto for Marimba and Band, by David Maslanka, featuring student Chris Lennard on marimba; Concerto Logic, by Carter Pann, featuring student Akiko Iguchi on piano; Tam O’Shanter, by Malcom Arnold, Symphony No. 29 by Alan Hovhaness, featuring student Danny Helseth on euphonium; and other works.
