Many organizations around the world have mounted relief efforts in response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. A number of these organizations are listed below.

Please note that the list is not exhaustive, and there are many other organizations that are also providing relief in Japan.


Gifts to the American Red Cross will support disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.


An AmeriCares emergency response team is working in Japan to help ensure that hospitals and first responders have the supplies they need to diagnose and treat survivors.


Donations will support organizations providing relief and aid to victims.


An International Medical Corps emergency response team is in Japan and is coordinating with local officials to support response efforts and fill critical gaps.


Mercy Corps is helping to provide emergency assistance to earthquake survivors in Japan with their longstanding partner, Peace Winds.


The Salvation Army has teams in Japan distributing basic necessities to survivors and will assess damage to discern the next steps of their relief efforts.

The 91̽»¨Japanese Student Association has teamed with other universities on the West Coast to raise funds for earthquake victims.


Donations to UNICEF will support the needs of children affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.


World Vision currently has emergency response teams distributing relief supplies to survivors, and ongoing efforts will focus on the unique needs of children.
