The Provost Search Committee will be holding a series of community meetings in October, seeking advice on the characteristics that the committee should seek in a new provost, who will be selected from within the university.
Meetings will be held on the Seattle campus in the Allen Auditorium of the Allen Library (room 81L behind the Information Desk):
- 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4
- Noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5
- 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6
A meeting will be held at 91̽»¨Bothell on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 10 to 11:30 a.m. in room UW2-005,  and at 91̽»¨Tacoma on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. in Carwein Auditorium.
The committee has three goals for its work: (1) Identifying two or three highly qualified candidates and forwarding those name to President Young; (2) Consulting widely with 91̽»¨constituents; and (3) Keeping all names of nominees and all advice confidential.

Nominations may be sent to the committee email, uwprov@uw.edu, in person to any committee members (listed on the committees Web page) or through a Catalyst survey, . Nominations should include the persons name, qualifications, and why the nominee believes that person should be considered.
