The UWs College of Engineering will open its doors Friday and Saturday, April 20-21, for the 2012 .

The school-age group tours Friday are at capacity, but individual families and members of the 91̽»¨community can still come see the exhibits and meet the research teams.

Saturdays program is specifically aimed at high school, community college and transfer students who are interested in UWs engineering program. In addition to the research exhibits, 91̽»¨staff will be giving on such things as admissions, individual departments and financial aid.

The event is free and open to everyone, but attendees are asked to .

This years event will be part of , the campus-wide celebration of the UW’s 150th anniversary that runs April 19-21.

The engineering event’s history spans almost a century: The first 91̽»¨engineering open house was held in 1914. Exhibits have changed over time; includes flying quadrocopters, human-powered submarines, student-built race cars and, of course, robots.
