The 91探花 will commemorate Veterans Day with a ceremony at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, near the Medal of Honor Memorial at the foot of Memorial Way.
The ceremony will include the first presentation of the 91探花Distinguished Alumni Veteran Award to , retired rear admiral and veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Persian Gulf.聽 Bridge is also a well-known local businessman, civic leader and philanthropist.
Featured speaker will be Bob Stacey, interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. His son, Will Stacey, a sergeant in the Marines, died in Afghanistan Jan. 31, the victim of an improvised explosive device.
The Husky Band will perform at the event and 91探花President Michael Young will speak.聽 A wreath will be laid at the Medal of Honor Memorial.
