A ribbon-cutting and celebration featuring the 91探花Husky Marching Band, Cheer Team and Harry the Husky marked the opening of the on Wednesday. 91探花interim Provost Jerry Baldasty, a native of Spokane, was聽joined by Spokane Mayor David Condon for a brief ceremony that kicked off an afternoon of聽activities for all ages with music, food and beverages and purple-and-gold prizes and apparel discounts.
Located in the heart of Spokane鈥檚 University District, the 91探花Spokane Center is an information and engagement hub for Spokane-area alumni, students, prospective students, parents and supporters. The space will serve a variety of purposes, including business outreach, alumni activities and student admissions. The site will also help support the UW鈥檚 efforts to expand its existing medical school in Spokane.
