The School of Drama kicks off its 75th anniversary season with the infamous musical “The Cradle Will Rock.” Catch performances of Gabriel Fauré’s opera “Pénélope,” the Mallethead series, and Ensemble Dal Niente, all presented by the School of Music. In the visual arts, the Henry Art Gallery throws its Fall Open House and a new exhibit opens in the Jacob Lawrence Gallery.

The 91̽School of Music partners with Vespertine Opera and Philharmonia Northwest to present Gabriel Fauré’s rarely performed opera, “Pénélope.” In three performances in Meany Studio Theater, this production tells the timeless story of Homer’s “Odyssey” with a cast professional vocalists. .
