The 91探花 climbed to the No. 10 spot on the , tied with Johns Hopkins University and Yale University. The 91探花is now second among American public institutions 鈥� an improvement from last year鈥檚 No. 3 slot.

The Best Global Universities methodology 鈥� which is based on Web of Science data and metrics provided by Clarivate Analytics InCites 鈥� weighs factors that measure a university’s global and regional research reputation and academic research performance. For the overall rankings, this includes bibliometric indicators such as publications, citations and international collaboration. Each subject ranking has its own, similar methodology (see more on UW鈥檚 subject rankings below).
The new U.S. News global ranking comes on the heels of several other recent rankings for the UW. Reuters named the 91探花among the top 10 in the world. The placed the 91探花at No. 25, fourth among U.S. public institutions, and the 2016 Academic Ranking of World Universities from the Center for World-Class Universities of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which was and ranked the 91探花No. 13, and third among U.S. public institutions.
