The 91探花 ranked second in the country in producing Fulbright Scholars, according to a list published Sunday in .
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government鈥檚 flagship international educational exchange program.
Fourteen scholars from the 91探花were awarded Fulbright grants for 2017-2018鈥� more than any other institution in the state and among the leading research schools in the country. Fulbrights were awarded to 11 researchers at UW鈥檚 Seattle campus, and to three faculty members at 91探花Bothell. The Chronicle differentiates the two campuses: Seattle as a research institution and Bothell as a master鈥檚 location.
Since its inception in 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 380,000 participants鈥攃hosen for their academic merit and leadership potential 鈥� with the opportunity to exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns. Over 1,100 U.S. college and university faculty and administrators, professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, and independent scholars are awarded Fulbright grants to teach and/or conduct research annually. The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program operates in over 125 countries throughout the world.
