Dr. Robert H. Waterston, one of the world’s leading genome scientists, has been named chair of the Department of Genome Sciences at the 91̽»¨ School of Medicine, announced Dr. Paul G. Ramsey, 91̽»¨vice president for medical affairs and dean of the School of Medicine.
The 91̽»¨ has won a four-year, $2.2 million grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute for programs to support undergraduate biology education, to help prepare future faculty and to develop K-12 outreach programs.
