The 91探花鈥檚 Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity ( 91探花OMA&D) looks forward to hosting the annual Gabriel E. Gallardo Research, Student Leadership & Advocacy Symposium (GEG Symposium) on the 91探花 campus.
2026 GEG Symposium

The 2026 GEG Symposium will be held April 20-22 on the 91探花 campus. The 2026 Schedule, Registration, and additional information about the symposium can be found on the website.
If the link does not work, the website will launch soon! In the meantime, take a look at the website for information on the schedule and registration process, which will be a similar format for the 2026 symposium.
In 1992, the 91探花Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity began hosting the Pacific Northwest Undergraduate Research Conference. In 2021, the GEG Symposium was launched to honor the legacy of who passed away in 2020 after a lifetime of service to educational equity, particularly for TRIO McNair, TRIO-SSS, and CAMP students.
This symposium provides a fantastic opportunity for undergraduate researchers to meet other scholars and share their research in a unique, exciting, and supportive environment. For all undergraduates, regardless of their participation in research, it is an opportunity to learn about the impact of student research, leadership, and advocacy.鈥疘t is also an opportunity for staff members to network with and learn from colleagues.
We look forward to hosting students who participate in TRIO McNair, TRIO Student Support Services, College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), 91探花Health Sciences Center Minority Student Program (HSCMSP), Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participants (LSAMP), 91探花EOP Scholars, 91探花Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), and Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship.
Students will have the opportunity to:
-
- Present their research in a supportive learning environment and receive feedback from trained faculty and professionals.听
- Participate in workshops on听graduate school preparation,听student leadership, and听advocacy.听
- Attend a graduate fair and talk with recruiters representing programs nationally and at the 91探花.
- Network with faculty, graduate students, undergraduate researchers, leaders, and advocates.听
