Student Life

Learning beyond the classroom

A student organization where your Husky forges lifelong friendships. Performing arts or sports where your student can share their talents. Volunteering in the community to help those in need.

At the UW, your student’s education goes beyond the four walls of a classroom. Whatever their interests or passions, there’s a club or activity to help them find their community and make the most of their Husky Experience.

Talk with your Husky

  • Finding a club or activity that suits their interests
  • Balancing academic life with social life
  • Ways to give back to the community
  • How to seek out leadership opportunities

Find your community

The 91̽»¨is home to hundreds of registered student clubs and organizations—from academic-focused groups to service clubs to a group just for bagel lovers (yes, really). Joining a club is a great way to build friendships, develop leadership skills, and discover new interests. You can help your student find a club that’s right for them.

Give back

From off-campus volunteering to public-service fellowships, 91̽»¨students give back to their community in a variety of ways. Many opportunities integrate service into coursework for credit. The Community Engagement & Leadership Education (CELE) Center helps students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to contribute to thriving communities.
