Email notifications are sent from various parts of the SAGE Suite:

• SAGE – used by PIs, research administrators, advance preparers, award preparers, approvers
  • For eGC1s, review eGC1 Email Notifications Details
  • For Advance Budget Requests, review Advance Budget Request Email Notifications
  • For Award Setup Requests, review Awards Email Notifications
• – used by investigators
• SAGE Central – used by OSP and GCA

Briefly, to attach the SAGE budget to your Award Setup Request, search for your budget by budget title, BudgetID number, or PI.

Select your budget from the results list.

You can contact your department’s ASTRA administrator and request this role assignment. If you do not know who your ASTRA administrator is, contact your department administrator or email astra@uw.edu.

• The PI, Personnel, & Organizations page for personnel selected units and primary position units
• Your response to select compliance questions
• Organizations paying for cost sharing

If the unit still does not appear, use the Additional Organization Unit Reviewers section of the page to add the unit.

Review the data that is copied, so you’ll know what to add.

Give the eGC1 a title that indicates it’s a template, and then save it, leaving it in Composing status. When you need to create a new eGC1, open the template eGC1 and make a copy of it.

A new hire must have a 91̽»¨NetID and 91̽»¨email account before you can add them to an eGC1. 91̽»¨departments/divisions may obtain for people who are new to the university and whose academic appointments or positions are not yet active.

If the researcher needs access to SAGE to view or edit eGC1s, then you will also need to authorize them with the appropriate role(s) in ASTRA. If the new person will be the PI, they will need the PI role.

Once the NetID is created, you’ll need to use the NetID look up, as a sponsored person is considered a “non- 91̽»¨person” until their academic appointment or position is active. Once active, you can go back to any eGC1s where they are listed as non- 91̽»¨and refresh the information.
