What is Title IX?

Title IX is a federal law that, in concert with other federal and state laws, prohibits discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, pregnancy or related conditions, and LGBTQ identity. If you have experienced sex- or gender-based violence or harassment

If you have experienced sexual assault, unwanted sexual contact, relationship violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual harassment, or other forms of sexual misconduct, you can learn more about your rights and the resources available to you on the .聽You can also make a Civil Rights & Title IX Report to connect with a case manager in the Civil Rights Compliance Office.

If you are aware of sex- or gender-based violence, harassment or discrimination

The University encourages reporting to provide support and resources, offer resolution options, stop the conduct, prevent its recurrence, and remedy its effects. If you or someone you know has experienced or becomes aware of possible discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct, you are encouraged to make a Civil Rights & Title IX Report. In many cases, you may submit a report anonymously.

In specific circumstances, employees have reporting obligations and are required to share information about potential prohibited conduct they become aware of with the University鈥檚 Civil Rights Compliance Office (CRC).
