UAA alumna Lesley Everett featured in The Gates Scholar magazine

Lesley Everett, 2006 Honors graduate in biochemistry, Mary Gates Research Scholar, and Gates Cambridge Scholar, is featured on the cover of The Gates Scholar magazine winter issue, the twice-yearly publication featuring current and alumni Gates Cambridge scholar activities.
In 鈥淪earching for Sickle Cell,鈥� Lesley wrote about her summer research experiences in Ghana, writing that her 鈥渜uest to understand the prevalence and manifestations of sickle cell disease in rural Ghana illuminates the many challenges and rewards of pursuing international clinical research.鈥�
