WE-REACH

The Center for Washington Entrepreneurial Research Evaluation & Commercialization Hub (WE-REACH) provides teaching and funding tools to accelerate the development of therapeutic, device, and diagnostic products to address significant challenges in health.

With support from the and in partnership with , , , the 91探花Office of Research, and the , WE-REACH provides an array of service designed to bridge early stage products into health impact. These services include:

  1. Training through a Biomedical Innovation Online Series;
  2. An annual symposium held in partnership with ITHS;
  3. 4-6 yearly WE-REACH Awards of up to $186,000 in direct costs for activity- and time-based, stage-gated, and milestone-driven projects. All awardees will be assigned a WE-REACH project manager and given access to a team of experts for product development, regulatory strategy, intellectual property, market analysis, and follow-on grant development.

WE-REACH is governed by 3 main committees:

  1. The Executive Leadership Group (ELG)鈥擬anages the day-to-day operations of WE-REACH;
  2. The Executive Committee (ExeC)鈥擱eviews and manages WE-REACH affairs within the 91探花 ecosystem;
  3. The Program Steering Committee (PSC)鈥擯rovides input and coordination between WE-REACH and external industry leaders in the Pacific Northwest.
