Eligibility and Application

CONTACT INFORMATION

If you are interested or have further questions regarding the clerkship programs, please contact: Brian Iritani, DVM Ph.D., Professor and Clerkship Program Director at (206) 221-3932 or email biritani@uw.edu.

ELIGIBILITY

At the time of the clerkship, students should be in their 3rd or 4th year of an accredited doctoral training program in veterinary medicine. Acceptance is dependent on the student鈥檚 interest in pursuing a career in laboratory animal medicine, clerkship availability during the requested period (we generally do not want more than two fourth-year or three third-year students at a time), strength of the application, and letter of intent. Students are encouraged to apply early to ensure acceptance.

APPLICATION

Note: No stipends are provided for this program unless students are selected for an ACLAM veterinary externship award.
