Faculty interested in developing a course collaboration with an international partner are invited to attend an info session on 10/25 or 10/28Ìý²¹²Ô»å apply to be a 2025 91̽»¨COIL Fellow by 11/15.
Critical digital literacy and virtual collaboration skills are more important than ever, and COIL offers an opportunity to make the classroom learning experience globally connected. The tri-campus 91̽»¨COIL Fellows Program offers an entirely online structured training, a supportive community, and a $1,200 stipend. COIL – also known as international virtual exchange – is a virtual exchange pedagogy that fosters global competence through development of a multicultural learning environment, linking university classes in different countries. Using both synchronous and asynchronous technologies, students from different countries complete shared assignments and projects, with instructors from each country co-teaching and managing coursework.
Who Should Apply?
- Full-time faculty on all three 91̽»¨campuses interested in developing a COIL class in 2025 and/or 2026.
- No prior experience or international connections are required.
Program Elements
