What to Expect
The 91̽»¨Undergraduate Research Symposium and all sessions will take place on Friday, May 15, 20256 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. There will not be recordings taken or live-streaming the day of. Being an all-day event, we encourage our attendees to visit our Symposium Wellness Room, accessible from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in MGH Suite 171, the Center for Experiential Learning & Diversity, for a quick recharge.
Poster Sessions
Presenters showcase their work in a 1 hour poster session, a gallery-like walkthrough where students stand next to a designed poster and share more about their research.
Oral Sessions
Presenters showcase their work in a 10 minute presentation in a classroom setting, followed by a 2 minute Q&A. Students may have a PowerPoint, video, or talk.
Performing Art Session
Presenters showcase their work in a 10 minute presentation with a performance-based component such as music, theatre, or dance.
Visual Arts and Design Session
Presenters showcase their work in a 2 hour gallery which may include paintings, drawings, media, sculpture, architectural models, digital arts, experimental media, and more.

Food and Beverage
The 91̽»¨ campus and its surrounding neighborhood, including the U District and U Village, offer great food and beverage options. On campus you have access to a variety of UW-provided food options and grab-and-go, including places like the , or Starbucks and other cafe’s located in the Henry Art Gallery, Suzallo Library, and the Hans Rosling Center for Population Health.
Each building containing presentations will generally have available a water fountain. In Mary Gates Hall you can also access food, beverage, and coffee-specific vending machines.
